12 Days of Fitmas 2016 Edition

Deck the halls with lots of fitness … it’s that time of year to unwrap this year’s annual 12 Days of CrossFit/Fitmas workout. Grab your barbells (and beers) and get ready in 3, 2, 1 … Ho, Ho, Ho!

It’s beginning to look a lot like … fitness.

Well, it’s that time of year again, Grinders: the dreaded/love/anticipated/feared 12 Days of CrossFit workout at your local affiliate. Let’s start off in “A Christmas Carol” style by taking a look at 12 Days of CrossFit workouts past.

In 2013, it looked like this:

“12 Days of CrossFit 2013”

  • 1 Clean and Jerk (155 pounds/103 pounds)
  • 2 Lateral Bar Hopping Burpees
  • 3 Push Presses (155 pounds/103 pounds)
  • 4 Toes-to-Bars
  • 5 WAALLLL BAAAALLLS (20 pounds/14 pounds)
  • 6 Split Lunges (2-count)
  • 7 Deadlifts (155 pounds/103 pounds)
  • 8 Kettlebell Snatches — 4 each arm (53 pounds/35 pounds)
  • 9 Pull-Ups
  • 10 Front Squats (155 pounds/103 pounds)
  • 11 Clapping Push-Ups
  • 12 Ounces of Cold Beer (12 burpees may be substituted for 12 ounces of cold beer)

  • 1 Squat Clean Thruster (135 pounds/93 pounds)
  • 2 Lateral Bar Hopping Burpees
  • 3 Box Jumps (24 inches/2 inches)
  • 4 Push Presses (135 pounds/93 pounds)
  • 5 WAALLLL BAAAALLLS (20 pounds/14 pounds)
  • 6 Kettlebell Swings
  • 7 Front Squats (135 pounds/93 pounds)
  • 8 Pull-Ups
  • 9 Hand Release Push-Ups
  • 10 Alternating Pistols/2-Count Split Lunges
  • 11 Deadlifts (135 pounds /93 pounds)
  • 12 Ounces of Cold Beer (or 12 burpees)
