CrossFit has always been a community that gives back. Here are 4 ways you can make a difference.


It’s almost as if there is an unofficial giving season in the strength-and-conditioning community. That time is now, and there are a number of great organizations doing great philanthropic things before the end of the year.

Here are four specific ways you can get involved:

1. Crush Cancer

My good friends at DogTown CrossFit started Crush Cancer as an effort to raise money for cancer research. All you need to do is enroll you or your gym here and raise small donations for your competition of a grueling three-round workout.

2. Lift Up Autism

Original CrossFit badass Josh Everett started Lift Up Autism as an effort to help raise money and awareness after his son Luke was diagnosed with autism. The workout is just five minutes long and can be scaled for any fitness level. This year, TrainHeroic and some other quality brands have teamed up to make this year bigger than ever. 3. Wade’s Army

With a massive push from the good people at Power Athlete HQ, Wade’s Army is in the business of battling neauroblastoma. The group’s namesake is a tribute to Wade DeBruin and his battle with cancer. The fundraising efforts will lead all the way up to the third annual “Wade’s Day,” November 12. Join Wade’s Army here!

4. CrossFit for Hope

This is front and center for fundraising effort through CrossFit Inc. CrossFit for Hope has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for incredible causes like cancer research, aid in Kenya, the Infant Swimming Resource and academic scholarships. Get involved here!
